WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Narrow

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Narrow

The challenge this week is to focus on “…the magic of narrowness: how it forces the eye to focus on details and textures…focus on a slender object, or shoot an image where your field of vision is restricted. Alleyways and half-open doors, seesaws and water slides, spaghetti and electric cords… the world is full of narrow things.”

As one who walks the streets of Petaluma, only one thing comes to mind!  American Alley…

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Cherry On Top

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Cherry On Top

The challenge this week is: “The cherry on top. The icing on the cake…that extra little enhancement that makes a good thing better  Or, as the straightforward folks at Oxford Dictionaries explain it, “a desirable feature perceived as the finishing touch to something that is already very good.”

So I offer a Pot Statue.  The question is what is the cherry in this scene–the statue or the signs on either side of it!? Or perhaps the entire scene is the cherry for The Children’s Garden at the Petaluma Library 🙂

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Opposites

The challenge this week is “…show how opposites can tell a story about people, places, or objects. The tension can reside in what you choose to show — old vs. new, big vs. small, dark vs. light.”

Hmmm! Now this is a challenge…

How about a Hitchhiker (a.k.a. Traveler) walking on 101 in Upscale Marin County, California…?
