WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Inspiration

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge–Inspiration

What is your inspiration? What moves you? What is it that never fails to motivate you, to get you going, or make you happy?

I am not sure there is a single answer to the above questions.  I do enjoy the irony that frequently presents itself in street scenes as I stroll around the various locales in Sonoma County…

The Hidden Details That Can Only Be Seen Up Close

As I was driving across town I noticed some new landscaping.  Then I eventually realized it was a mural painted on the side of a building and stopped to make a few photos.

As I got closer I realized it was much more than just a large public mural.

I will present the scene in a series of photos staring with the up close and moving back. At the end of the post there is a slideshow of the same photos.

The moral of this tale for me is that sometimes getting out of your car and walking towards a subject is the best Macro Lens 🙂

Focusing “solely on the visual plane of the photo”

Or perhaps double vision?

In that regard I offer an image of one of the historic buildings in Petaluma’s downtown…The McNear Bldg 4th St side.

To be more specific an image of part of the upper building façade…

Photos You May Find Hard To View…

I have reserved this site for Weekly Photo Challenge posts but will make an exception to present a link to a recent post on my main site. The post in question illustrates a long standing social problem in our country…not just Petaluma.

I have added related links since its original publication a few days ago.
